My Man Collection

Hello Digi Friends,

Today here in Michigan we finally had winter arrive...I must admit I was loving the weather we were having. Cold but no snow...I was very happy about that...but yesterday afternoon we took a turn for the worse...The news called for rain, which would be followed with 4-8" of snow. Not thrilled about the rain part..because that means all that would turn to ice and then covered. Looks like we got 5" or so. It sure does look beautiful out there.
Thankfully I didn't have to drive this morning. DJ had no school, first snow day of the year. So today my lil man is home. Looks like we're off to a lazy day...We've had cinnamon rolls, he's played way to much wii skylanders already and it's just 11am. I'm going to have to bundle him up for some outdoor fun.
But first I'd like to share a kit perfect for the big or lil man in your life.

Happy Tuesday Digi Friends! and Happy New Year too!

I can't believe how fast the last half of 2011 went but I'm ready to start fresh. I normally don't make any real resolutions..because I know I won't stick with them. But this year I'm going to really try. seriously if I don't make any then I'll get no where. So this year I'm going to really really try. I will drop some weight and I WILL get this house organized. I'd only be a better person if I can accomplish these 2 things and if not...I'm a failure...lol, ouch! I don't want to be that anymore. I can and I will do this!

alright, enough rambling I can only spend so much time on the computer if I'm going to do anything, so lets get down to business.

Happy Tuesday to ya!

I don't know about you but I'm almost shocked at how fast the month is going...seriously, I can't believe Christmas is almost here. The last couple weeks have been crazy with all the activities, work, baking, shopping etc. How are you doing? Are you keeping up with everything? Good for you if you're ahead and don't worry you're not alone if you're falling behind. I still need to get my cards out...so right after this post...I'll be doing those so they're ready to go out in the morning..and then I need to finish my goodies. Tomorrow 7 girls from church are getting together for a cookie exchange. I need to bring 7 dozen cookies, half and half, 2 different kids....sounds kinda crazy but I'll be coming home with 7 different kinds of cookies...so yay! to that! and since I'm not suzy homemaker and I had to work today..I'm taking the easy way out. I'm making oreo balls and dipped oreos. lol nothing baked...hope they like em!

well anyhow, lets get down to some digi sharing.

Today, I'm thankful for my computer ;) There's no school today so I have my DJ home and 2 other boys too. I'm watching my GF's boys while she's working..and I've been kicked off the couch and TV...They're playing Wii. So here I sit with all my Digi Friends. That's not a bad thing at all. I think I'll do a lil posting then I'll head to the kitchen to make some goodies, do a lil cleaning get ready for the big day. Oh I gotta get back and do a lil Black Friday surfin too. Happy Friday Digi Friends.
I sit here typing and it's 4:44am...yes AM! and my kid DJ is sitting wide a way. Dad wakes up at 3:30 for work...normally, DJ, the dog and myself are fast a sleep...but this morning was different. Wind, thunder and lightning had DJ up and apparently I was dragged outta bed to take a picture of the guys drinking flavored coffee.....mind you, DJ just turned 8 and needless to say shouldn't be drinking coffee..especially at this hour... it was in his baby mug but still, I was hoping to jump back in bed..instead...sir talk a lot...is well...talkin a lot!
So I'm gonna share a quick LO with ya before trying to get back in bed...wish me luck there ;)

Can you believe it's September 1st already...Guess the end of summer is officially here for us.
Next Tuesday my son starts school. We went to his open house this week to meet his Teacher...and omgosh, I totally forgot to take my camera out for a picture..gessh...how am I suppose to use all the awesome school kits out if I don't take a picture?! Guess I still have the first day ;)

So before I head out and do some last minute school supply shopping I thought I'd share a kit and a lil news with ya.

I've been accepted to join Jennifer Labre's CT...so cool! I'm pretty excited about this. I'm starting to be more active at Scrap Matters and I'm lovin it! The Designers there are super talented and of course this pushes me to be a better scrapper. I look forward to the growth.
anyhow...I've got places to go so let's get to the digi share.

Each month...if you didn't know...the Scrap Matter Designers work with a color palett creating a large array of paper and elements which can be mixed and matched..they call this MAK~ Mix a Kit!

Happy Friday to ya Digi Friend.
It's going to be a beautiful day for me! I'm starting my morning with some new release posting and then I'm off to town...Our lil Danish town is holding The Danish Festival this weekend... always lots of fun to be had and yummy eats too.
But lets get to the digi news. As you may or may not know I'm a CT guest for LDrag Designs..So I'll start with her new release first..Blessings of Life.
With it's unique color palette and elegant touches...You'll create countless beautiful and classy pages. Here's a look at the preview and the LO I created for the Scrap Matters Tuesday Template Challenge.

Next up is a new designer I've been asked to work with...Her name is Jen of Girl Boy Girl Designs.

Happy Friday Digi Friend!
I worked my lil part time job today..so not much 'puter time today but at least I have a few extra bucks in my pocket. So yay! I'm gonna do a quick LO share and then I'm off to look for some new scrappin goodies for myself.
Today I'm going to share another kit from LDrag Designs...gotta tell ya I'm so excited to be guesting with her. I'm so lucky.

new CT news!

Hello Digi Friends..hope you're having an awesome Friday.
So far...I'm having a great day...I went to the car sale place this morning and I'm test driving a new SUV for the weekend... fingers crossed they come down on the price a bit and we end up getting a new used car...at the moment we have a pretty Trail Blazer in the drive way and I'm kinda hoping it stays there. So here's hoping luck is on my side.

Speaking of luck...I tried out for a couple new CT gigs..and I'm happy and so proud to say, I'm now the Aug. CT guest for the wonderful Lina of LDrag Designs. I truly think her work is amazing and I'm so honored to be a part of her team for a bit.
I've been trying super hard with my digi skills and I hope to continue to learn and grow with her.

and yes, I said I would be an Aug. Guest..but I've started working with her amazing kits and I'd like to share those with you now.

First up is a brand new release for today, called Lemonade. A refreshing, gorgeous kit.

This first LO I created for the 7/26 Tues. Template challenge at Scrap Matters.

and the 2nd LO I made just because the wicker alphy matched the wicker chair in one of my pictures...I ended up cropping in so close you can barely see it...but hey..It was inspiration and that's all I needed.

Next up..I cruised through the LDrag store and found this beauty.

Stunning right!?~ I love the color palette and florish and glitter elements...you can't go wrong with that.
This is the LO I created with it...and I was very surprised to see it on the GSO(gallery stand out) Scrap Matters blog section.

Hello and Happy Tuesday to ya! It's a beautiful day here...not to hot, just perfect..I took DJ to swim class, ran some errands and now I'm back home to do a lil posting before heading back out for VBS...Life is good!
So Sunday I snapped a picture of my mom and myself in the church elevator. My Mother turned 58 the day before(looks pretty good at almost 60, right?!) well we didn't take a picture so I thought I'd take advantage of the moment.

so how's the weather in your neck of the woods? Living here in Michigan..it's pretty darn hot..but I know it gets much hotter elsewhere so I'm not gonna complain to much. Plus sitting here in front of the computer in a nice cool house..life is good.

Let's get down to digi business. I've been playing with lots of goodies and I'd like to share a couple with ya.
I'm gonna share Farrah's Designer Scraps with ya.

Boyz R Cool is a new boy kit and I gotta tell ya...I loved playing with it. Lots of unique stuff in there. super fun!

Next up is Pocket Full of Sunshine. I'm totally addicted to flowers so of course I loved this kit.

The word art on this LO is even included with the kit..lately Farrah has been adding a word art folder with a few pieces of word art/journaling to help complete your LO.. gotta love that.

Today I'd like to share a kit by Modern June aka MJ Designs. This kit was featured in DSA’s Enabler a few months ago and now she can finally release it to the rest of us!
This kit is perfect. It has a lil of it all, the digi life mixed in with the every day life...seriously a pretty kit made for us creative fun girls!

Hello Digi Friend, Happy Monday to ya!
Today I'm here trying to cool down.. I bought a tread mill~and omgosh, I think I could get addicted to it... yeah, it's only walking but seriously if you didn't know it...I'm fat and lazy! hehe, I can say it but anyone else says it...they're gonna get big mama in their face. hehe. :D
I turned the music up and went to town.. I have it facing the lake and man.. I got to 20 minutes in no time..and I even ran a lil bit when a fast song came on. I'm excited, hopefully I can keep it up.
so anyway... I worked up a sweat, sat down at the computer and made a LO... I was looking through Scrapable's new release Section and look what I found. Scrapable's July Collab..you never know what you'll get when it's in the sneak peek stage.. the preview is a sneak peek and the price is marked down 75%. The designers filled this..actually jam packed it with summer and fourth of July goodies! You won't be disappointed. Hello DigiFriend! Happy Wednesday to ya.
It's been a pretty nice week so far. Today, no work or appointments to make so I get to stay home and catch up on my digiLife, guess I should do some housework too.
DJ's only been out of school since last Thursday and it seems like we've been on the go non-stop. The other day DJ and I got up and drove to town to take my Mom to the big city..she had a DR. appointment...she had reconstruction work on her foot...some serious surgery, hardware included...but she's on her way to recovery...anyhow..We were there for a while and DJ was great! Such a good boy..so we decided to have lunch somewhere he'd like...somehow we decided on IHOP..yup, International House Of Pancakes...Haven't been there in like...over 10 years, heck maybe 15-20..and it was actually yummy!
After getting back to town we hit the nursery for flowers and tomato plants. Every thing is planted and looking so nice. I'm so happy how the deck looks now...it's the lil things that make me happy. aah, not a care in the world out there. Life is good!

Well let's get down to digi business! I'm so lucky to be a part of Lisa/Aprilisa Design CT. I seriously love her work. High quality goodies that make creating a LO super eZ! Just take a look at my latest LO created with her part of Gotta Pixel's gotta grab it. Aprilisa's portion is called Carefree.

Hello Digi Friends, Today I'd like to share the last challenge I'll be hosting at Scrapable. I'll no longer be on the site CT but I'll still be around.. I love Scrapable.

The 1,2,3 Follow me Challenge is pretty simple, if you follow the steps! You're given steps that you need to follow to complete your LO. I hope you'll join me.

For your LO you need to DO/USE:

Pick and arrange 3 Papers,
Pick your pictures, 3 or more,
pick 1 ribbon,
1 string,
2 different buttons
a piece of word art,
an alphy,
a scalloped edge,
use a flower and leaf cluster as many times as liked,
Let's cluster, use the above items along with lots of stars and any other elements you need

I can't believe we're almost to the half way point of the week..heck I haven't stopped thinking about last week.
Last week was a wonderful week.. The family left work and school early so we could get to the movies to see the new Pirates of the Caribbean Movie..
we are huge fans.

here we are at the movies!

Then Sat. What was suppose to be a girls nite out for myself and friends.. I ended up taking my husband with. Still had fun! actually lots of fun! I'll just say this.. I have a bunch of crazy girls in my posse, who ran into a fun bachelor party! ;)
needless to say it was a good time!

Happy Happy Last weekend... now back to work and life.

I'm in awesome spirits today.. no work and I don't have to drive to town to take my Mom to a physical therapy appointment...yay! I'm totally doin a lil happy dance in my seat. Seriously~ can you believe the end of March is near?! I can't believe how fast the months are flying by...on a good note..that means winter will soon be over! This Michigan girl is so tired of snow and ice.. yes ICE! we had an ice storm a couple of days ago and again, everything is covered in ice.. booo. We're on day 2 snow days, no school. I want spring and I want it now.

Hello Digi Friends!
Did you have a wonderful St. Patty's Day?
Our night started with DJ saying this is the most boring St. Patrick's Day ever. I'm not sure what he expected but I explained.. this is pretty much it until you're old enough to go out and drink green beer.. Well he talked me into heading to our lil bar on the lake.. where he had his first green beer! mind you he is 7! When he received his green beer and took a sip.. we heard, "hey, this isn't beer! this is green fizzy pop! (sprite). then he proceeded to drink it all and then laid his head on the bar acting like he was drunk. Where he learns this stuff I'll never know.. but at the time we got a lil giggle! lol, gotta luv that kid!

ok, so Did you get all the Green LOs finished? I've got mine pretty much done.. I'll be downloading a few pictures from last nights activities, then I think that'll do it for this year. I'll be using a couple kits from my stash.

Omgosh, I just run across the cutest kit! I can't help it, it brings a big smile to my face.
Take a peek, it's called After the Rain by KiKeKa Kits.

cute right?! I think so.. makes me think of spring..and this Michigan girl is so ready for the snow to melt.. I'm ready for spring!

Now I'm not part of KiKeKa Kits CT... but I was lucky enough to play with 1 of her kits.
The Kit I helped with is called Hoppy Easter. It is another fun kit filled with gorgeous paper and fun, pretty elements... honestly I didn't give the kit justice.. I sat down to play when I was sick..and I just showcased the paper...... hopefully I'll be able to work with KiKeKa again.

Alright, prepare yourself for a real original line here. :D but......

Holy Scrap is it March 10th already? I mean really?...why's everything goin so fast?
I don't want to get older.
I don't want my baby to grow so fast.
Guess the saying is right. Time flies when you're having fun!
Our lil family is far from perfect, but we know how to have a good time!

As you can see by the LO I created for the Scrapable Desktop Challenge. We celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Alright maybe it's only my husband who celebrates..we just come along for the ride.
Check out the picture... it'd be perfect if the hubby's face wasn't so wind burnt. He spent most of the day on the ice, fishing. I did not come along for the ride on that. Sitting on ice in the wind hoping a fish is below me... ah, no...no thank you! I know I've got some scrappin to do! lol
heehe...
so anyways, I wanted to share some LOs with you... I'm very lucky to be on so many great CTs. It's truly an honor to play and promote these wonderful designers. Saying all that, here's a peek at some of the recent goodies I get to play with for the Scrapable CT.

The first I'll share is my St. Patty's day desk top.

March calendar is from Penny's, Capture 365 March Lucky Elements
and the template is from Aprilisa Designs, available in the Off the beaten Path Scrapable BAK(Build a kit).

Here's another fun LO. Feb. for us it's still winter time and The lake always has a Polar Plunge. Everyone dresses in costumes and jumps in a hole cut in the ice... brrrr! Lots of money is raised for Special Olympics and it's lots of fun. BTW...I only watch. again only the guys do this! I view from the side lines.. I mean someone has to take the pictures right?

I stayed home today, not feeling to hot.... and the weather is a mess. Kind of an icy start, but the time I got back home from taking my lil one to the bus stop... every thing was just wet... we had icy sleet, rain and right now the biggest fluffy snow flakes are falling (and it's only 10am)...

Hey Hey Guys!
I've been busy caring for my mom the last couple weeks.. so I'm having fun creating and posting when I can. Templates are very helpful especially when you have limited time but need to scrap(you know for sanity reasons)....and If I say so myself.. I made a pretty cool LO. I still might move the title below the picture...but that's that awesome thing about digi...I can change my mind until I send it to print!

I used 2 kits from Scrapable.

OMGOSH! I'm so excited.. but first... let me back track.
welcome digi friend.. thanks for stopping by. Hope you're having an awesome Friday. I am- now that I'm home. I spent the day with mom...she's recovering from surgery. So I sit with her during the day..while her man is at work. Saying all that.. I couldn't scrap at her house.. but I could do a lil surfin...and since my digi home is Scrapable..that's the first place I check...then I hit my other CT homes. anyhow.. long story short.. I got a sneak peek for you. I saw the kit and I gotta tell ya... I can't wait to get it loaded and start playing. It's a collab by a couple of my fav designers. Modern June and Caged Bird Designs. I love these girls and their designs. For now I can only leave you with a peek...but you can bet I'll be back with the full reveal and a LO or two too.

So Earlier this month I was celebrating by birthday.. my friends took me out to dinner and then we did a lil bar hopping.. guess I'm getting old because the fun part was at my friends house and then dinner.. could of skipped the bar.. but hey~ at least I went out!
and I managed to get a really good picture of myself and BF... I held the camera out and got this picture and I love it....then I found the perfect kit to use for my LO... I've been trying very hard with my layering and clustering...some days it works and some days, I just feel I've lost my mojo.. if I ever had it. Well anyway.. I think I had it going on this day.. I just love the LO. Plus it's my absolute favorite colors...that might have something to do with it.

Hello Digi friends, hope you're off to a great Monday. Being the SAHM I am..I'm glad it's Monday and I've got the house to my own..
It's been a busy weekend but a great one. Yesterday of course being super bowl weekend and all was an excellent reason to get together with friends. My family doesn't even watch football but we know when a good time is gonna happen.. the game on, fun commercials and lots of yummy food and the company of friends.. can't go wrong there.

I'd like to share a kit I worked with...
Exquisite part of Jacabean Designs Essence of Color Series is a beautiful aqua blue kit with a slightly vintage feel. Just a very pretty kit, perfect if you love this pretty color. Again, this is a series.. so except to see more of this gorgeous collection in a variety of colors.

and a LO I made. The kit was a gorgeous match to the picture I used.
I'm so honored to have been trusted to do pictures for this family. Isn't she gorgeous? Emma is her name.

yay! it’s Friday! Happy Friday to you all!
I gotta tell ya I live in Michigan and it’s cold and snowy out there. A perfect day to stay in and play.
Scapable is filled with fun today. We have new releases in the store and a few challenges posted too.

The first I’d like to share with you is, The 2nd day of the 12 Days of Holidays Challenge.

On the 2nd day of holidays amy! gave to you, a LO with 2 pretty ornaments to see.

Challenge: Create a LO using 2 ornaments…no more no less. You have 48hours to accept this challenge and if you do and post within the 48 hours a special gift you will receive.

my LO was created with Very Merry, Scrapable’s Dec. store collab. A huge collab with endless versatility.

Today I will also be hosting the Font Challenge. Of course you’ll be given a font to use for your LO but for the challenge I’d also like you to share with us.
For this challenge… I would like all my digi friends from all around the world to share with me. I’m interested in the holiday you celebrate or any family traditions you have.

Hey Everyone! Here's the scoop on Scrapable's December Event - Scrapable's 12 Days of Holidays! This month... all month long... we will be offering daily specials, games, contests, and of course prizes! You don't want to miss out on this!!!!

Scrapable, my digi home is in the process of a major merge with the mother store. I'm so excited. More digi friends, more talented designers...oh my gosh I just can't wait.. the forum is back up today! Everything is looking so pretty. We'll be up in full force before you know it.

I have the pleasure to create for Farrah.. of Farrah's Designer Scraps. She's an awesome lady.. she has so much going on with herself personally but is always thinking of others too.
I'd like to share a lil something with you... posted by Farrah.

October is National Domestic Violence awareness month!
Now those of you that know me well know that this is something that is close to my heart, so I have created this jam packed set all to help raise awareness of Domestic Violence.
As a survivor myself I feel that I'm always worried about being judged or not being good enough for anyone so I have named this kit Carefree, to help me and anyone really, remember to take time to enjoy your life, even the little things and be happy with who you are! We are all special and we all deserved to be loved and to be treated with respect and never to feel worthless or hopeless.
I hope you enjoy this set as much as I enjoyed creating it!
